Pokemon journeys
In the latest known episode, Goh owns 28 Pokemon, of which 27 are unique Pokemon species registered in his Pokedex. Ash Ketchum is a brand new Pokemon trainer, he's celebrating his tenth birthday and he's doing what many 10-year-olds in Kanto were hoping to do: become a Pokemon trainer. On the first day he gets a Pikachu, which he catches, and turns into his Pokemon master. In season 23, Pikachu is the first of many '10-year-olds' to become Pokemon trainers. 
Niantic's AR game Pokemon GO has also launched an event around the iconic members of Team Rocket. Ash and Goh travel to different regions of the Pokéver and meet Pokemon from each region as they pursue their respective goals. DeNa and the Pokemon Masters have joined the cast, while Jessie, James and Meowth are looking for a shiny celebrity. Watch Ash, GOH travel through regions featured in the core series, catching several different types of Pokemon. 
Ash Ketchum and Pikachu are introduced in the Kalos area, where they meet new friends, Clemont and Bonnie, and are reunited with their childhood sweetheart Serena. The series will also feature a new theme song written and performed by a band treading the Earth. Ash will capture and create new rivals as he learns the secrets of mega evolution, as well as compete for the Kalos League and fight the best Pokemon in the world. Ash will take on his old rival Goh as he continues his quest to uncover new Pokemon and learn more about the new secrets behind the mega evolution. In this episode, Ash will face off against a team of Pokemon Masters and his new rival and fight for the chance to make it into the Pokemon League as Ash is caught and meets new Pokemon from the Kanto and US East regions. The series is added quarterly for the duration of each season on Netflix, and if the series is longer than 48 episodes, the finale, Pokemon Journeys Part 5, will appear in the second half of the season. If the travels are as long as season 22, Pokemon Season 24 would appear at the end of season 23, but if it is shorter, it would also come after the final episode of season 24. 
The release date for the 24th season of Pokemon Go is scheduled for the late 2020s, probably in October or November, and assuming Netflix in the US streams it for a few months later, it means the final episode of the 23rd season of Pokemon Journeys and its finale will take place in the fall of 2021. This could prove true for September 11, 2020, as the release date has been set for September 11, 2020, but the anime series could return to season 24 after a lengthy hiatus, such as the end of season 22. 
If production of Pokemon Journeys is delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, Pokemon Season 24 of the anime could be released in 2021. The release date for the second season of Pokemon Go in the US is June 2020, and other countries, such as the UK, will release their Pokemon Go-themed spin-offs in May 2020. The production schedule for Pokemon S24 depends on how many weeks each episode of Pokemon Journeys is delayed. Generally, new Pokemon seasons have 50 episodes, but Pokemon XYZ has 47 episodes, while Pokemon Season 22 has 54 episodes. Pokemon is called 'Pokemon XY' in Japan because the title of the 19th season is derived from Pokemon XYZ, and in the US it is called 'Pokemon Black and White' because of the name of the first two seasons. The Pokemons of season 14 and 17 are from generation 5, the Pokemons of season 17 and 19 from generation 6.The current installment of the anime series is Pokemon Journeys, which still follows Pikachu, Pikachu and Ash, but features new - and upcoming - Pokemon trainers. This season follows Ash and Goh on their journey around the world, which they undertook at the Cerise Laboratory in Vermilion City, Kanto. The squadron then follows him and his classmates as they continue their journey through the region of Alola to visit Pokemon School. 
At the age of 10, he finally receives his first Pokemon from Professor Oak and sets off on his Pokemon journey. Accompanied by their partner Pikachu, they travel from region to region, travelling to many regions and finishing their travels. More adventures await Ash, his classmates acquire new Z crystals, make new Pokemon friends and learn how to manta surf.
